July 3rd, 2010Lately, I seem to be doing the same things over and over. You know… I do something, realize I did it wrong, redo it, realize I have somehow done it incorrectly again.
So, that is how I’m spending my time these days.

May 19th, 2010Got out and planted some seeds in the flower beds. Just hollyhocks and monarda. I may try sunflowers from seeds again. They didn’t do so well last summer. Only one of my seeds actually became a plant. I’m blaming it on the crummy winter instead of spring we had last year.
In other news, I have a great crop of thistles coming up this year. Which means I should be on the hunt for my gardening gloves.

May 10th, 2010Just in time for the return of cold weather I finished Pal’s sweater. The pattern is the Dog (or cat) Sweater by Lisa Hamblin. It was nice and simple, which I enjoyed because I don’t have a lot of experience with crochet. If I were to make this again (and I think I might) I would make it just a little longer.
